Messages from the President

 Welcome to the Global Youth Challenge (GYC) 

 The Global Youth Challenge (GYC) is a dynamic not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing a global platform for young minds. We are committed to empowering youth to think creatively, present their perspectives, and propose innovative solutions to the pressing challenges facing our world today. 

 At the heart of the GYC is our annual essay and speech contest – a pivotal event that brings together young people from diverse backgrounds to express their unique viewpoints on significant global issues. Our past themes have closely aligned with contemporary concerns, including the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the quest for World Peace in 2021, the exploration of AI and the Future of Humanity in 2022, and the critical issue of Climate Change and the Future of Our World in 2023. 

As we look forward to 2024, we are excited to announce "AI and the Future of Our World" as the theme for the upcoming GYC competition. This event will feature the Finalist Presentations for the Senior Division on March 22, 2024, and for the Junior Division on March 23, 2024. 

 We anticipate the enthusiastic participation of over 1,000 young individuals from more than 20 countries. These participants will engage in meaningful discussions about the varied impacts of AI, fostering a rich and global dialogue. Our aim goes beyond merely raising awareness; we are dedicated to sparking an engaging and inspiring conversation among youth worldwide. 

There are two main ways to engage with the GYC:

1. As a Competitor: Step forward and take part in our prestigious international contest and its associated activities.
2. As a Volunteer: Contribute significantly to promoting and organizing GYC events, thus enhancing our global reach.

 The GYC is more than a competition; it is a flourishing global community, a vibrant forum where the voices of youth resonate, offering innovative solutions to global challenges. We are eagerly awaiting your creative ideas, inspirational voices, and passionate commitment.
