The Global Youth Challenge is a world-wide competition that consists of public speaking, essay writing, and creative projects that grapple with the topic of Artificial intelligence(AI) and the impact it has and will continue to have on our world.
Youth from around the world will be required to submit a 300 - 500 word essay plus a 3 - 4 minute video speech, or a visual artwork plus a 3 - 4 minute video speech.
Each entry will explore the potential benefits, as well as the possible harm and threats, that artificial intelligence could pose to our world from diverse perspectives.
For example, eminent figures such as Stephen Hawking, Elon Musk, and Ben Goertzel have thoroughly explored AI's dual nature, acknowledging it as both a potential threat and a significant source of benefits.
