Part - 1: Conduct an Interview Video of a Community Member


  • Conduct an interview with one or more members of your household or community -a teacher, worker, business professional, or adult in your life.
  • gather real-world insights on how AI is influencing the future of work in your local community. 
  • Video record this interview, and make sure to obtain permission from the person you are interviewing (use the permission form on our Web site). 
  •  You can choose any questions you like, and any length of interview but you should plan on using selected portions of this interview to create a shorter video in the next part. 
  • Note: you will not be submitting your full interview video.


Part - 2: Create a Highlights Video from your Interview 


  • Use selected portions of your interview to create a shorter 3-5 minute video
  • Include reflective commentary between portions to provide context as well as your observations of the interview.
  •  Youth from around the world will be required to submit a 300 - 500 word essay plus a 3 - 4 minute video speech, or a visual artwork plus a 3 - 4 minute video speech. 
  •  Each entry will explore the potential benefits, as well as the possible harm and threats, that artificial intelligence could pose to our world from diverse perspectives. 
  • For example, eminent figures such as Stephen Hawking, Elon Musk, and Ben Goertzel have thoroughly explored AI's dual nature, acknowledging it as both a potential threat and a significant source of benefits.


Part - 3: Create an Analysis and Solution Proposal Video


  • Create a 3-5 minute Documentary-style video
  • Identify the challenges and opportunities facing your community, and think about and propose solutions that would best shape the future of work in your part of the world.  
  • You may include presentation "slides" or other visuals or creative media to help you communicate your message effectively.
  •  You can include video excerpts from your interview although this is not required.


Part - 4: Write a Brief Project Summary


  • Write a 200-400 word summary
  • Introduce yourself, describing your community, and your concerns and hopes for the future of work in your community according to your research (interview) and analysis. 
  • You may include up to 3 images in this summary. (optional)

Originality & Independent Thinking

  • Am I accurately representing what my interviewee said?
  • Are my conclusions clearly supported by specific moments or ideas from the interview?
  • Did I avoid exaggerating, misquoting, or oversimplifying the interviewee’s perspectives


Video Production & Visual Presentation

  • Are both videos (highlights and analysis) clearly structured and easy to follow?
  • Does my editing help the viewer understand my ideas rather than distract from them?
  • Do my visuals, slides, or creative media add meaning or clarity to my message?


Speaking & On-Camera Delivery


  • Is my voice clear and easy to hear throughout both videos?
  • Do I sound confident and intentional?


Analysis & Solution Proposal


  • Have I clearly identified real challenges related to AI and work in my community?
  • Have I also identified opportunities, not just problems?
  • Are my proposed solutions realistic and clearly connected to the challenges I describe?


Written Project Summary (200–400 Words)

  • Did I introduce myself and clearly describe my community?
  • Did I explain my concerns and hopes for the future of work using evidence from my interview and analysis?


Integrity & Ethical Responsibility

  • Did I obtain permission to record my interview and follow the required process?
  • Is all of my work original and created by me?
  • Have I clearly acknowledged any AI tools or external sources I used?

Final Check

  • If someone watched only my project, would they understand how AI is shaping the future of work in my community?
